Picture this, it’s Monday morning and your alarm is blaring telling you that it is time to wake up and get to work. Now is the time for a very important morning decision, what do I wear? If you’re fortunate enough to not have a uniform or strict company dress code, keep reading because today I am going to give ya’ll my top outfits to conquer the work week.
MONDAY
Monday of course, is the start of a new week and we all could use something to perk our day up a bit right? That’s why Mondays are usually the day of the week that I tend to dress up the most and my go-to feel-good look is a classic t-shirt dress. Why? T-shirt dresses are so easy to put together no matter what your own personal style is! If you’re feeling edgy, pair it with a leather jacket and some combat boots. If you’re more girly pair it with some heels and a cardigan. My go-to is classic with some western influences so I like to style mine with a lace vest or turquoise jewelry.
TUESDAY
Tuesdays are usually a busy day full of meetings for me so I like to be cute yet comfortable and automatically gravitate to my Kancan flares. I absolutely love how comfortable these jeans are and how perfectly they pair with my L&B Surplus Top in both Black and Mocha. This top adds a classy professional touch without feeling too formal but also works well for women who are in a more traditional workplace as well. You can even pair the top with some slacks or a skirt and some heels to create a very Meghan Markle/Rachel Zane look!
WEDNESDAY
Happy Humpday! The middle of the week always calls for a pick me up, doesn’t it? A pop of color and some high waisted jeans mixed with heels or over the knee boots are the perfect combo for those mid-week vibes. Personally, I have been loving a vibrant buffalo-plaid top all-year-round because it is a classic style that dresses up any outfit. If jeans are against the dress code at your place of work pair it with a pencil skirt or tuck the shirt into some black slacks for a total power look, okay boss babe!
THURSDAY
Finally almost Friday! In my current day job, Thursdays are my Fridays, but I know not everyone has that type of work schedule. But… Thursdays are towards the end of the week, which means clean laundry may be dwindling and your outfit inspiration may be lacking. I still like to keep it comfortable yet professional so this usually means some skinny jeans, a tank top, and my favorite cardigan because my office is ALWAYS freezing. I love the look of cuffed skinny jeans with a cute pair of wedges or flat sandals because it’s easy to put together yet still fashionable!
FRIDAY
TGIF! Finish the week off strong then it’s time to head out for weekend activities! Fridays are the perfect day to rock a versatile outfit and I like to wear either another t-shirt dress (why not!) or a flowy printed dress. One of my new favorites is this leopard print long-sleeved dress from Nanamacs boutique. It’s just the right amount of business-chic to wear to work but cute enough to wear it out after too!
